The Tibet Museum is a body of resource and information for, of, and by the Tibetan people. Tibet Museum is categorized under three sections: Permanent Museum near Tsuglagkhang temple at Mcleod Ganj, the archives and the administration office at Gangchen Kyishong, Central Tibetan Secretariat.
Museum
The Museum is the body of the operation, with the permanent exhibit, the permanent public face, and the outlet for exhibits, projects and other public aspects of museum operations. It is also the current location of the travelling exhibit, which acts as the legs or the outreach component.
Archives
The archive, located currently at Gangchen Kyishong, Central Tibetan Secretariat, is the heart of the museum. The collection, the raison d'être of the operation, is housed here.
Administration
Also located at Gangchen Kyishong, Central Tibetan Secretariat, the administration office is the head of the museum body. All travelling exhibit bookings are taken here, policies framed, directions decided upon, decision taken, and behind-the-scenes activities carried out.
